Current Projects

  • School Wall Construction

Haiti is a challenging environment, and security is essential. A protective wall will help safeguard classrooms, playground equipment, books, computers, solar panels, and water supplies. Most successful schools in Haiti require high walls and overnight security for safety and sustainability. We have procured enough cyclone fence to surround school property but need resources to ship to Haiti and hire local labor to assemble. We would benefit from overnight onsite security person.

  • Playground Creation and Equipment

The School is built on a small hill or rise and the area to create a flat area for a playground and playing field is behind the school ( Photo) To create an upper playground and lower playing field requires the building of a retaining wall and grading. We have an estimate of 33 thousand dollars US for this. We currently have almost no playground equipment due to limited funding and concerns about theft. Donations toward playground equipment would greatly enhance the school especially when wall built.

  • Classroom Expansion

As we add 10th grade and higher levels, we need additional classrooms and specialized teachers. Haiti’s 7th–13th grade curriculum requires subject-specific instruction, making teacher salaries and classroom construction essential for continuing our students’ education. We are currently working with contractor to build a second story to High School structure and donations towards this project would help greatly.
