Upward Bound Ministries of Haiti’s mission is to reflect the character of God by the active promotion of Education, Gospel Outreach, and Community Development in rural Haiti.
Upward Bound Ministries founding vision was to start an orphanage, school, clinic/lifestyle center, and Church in the Bois Pin area.

Your gift—no matter the size—can change a child’s life. Your support provides nutritious meals, clothing, and essential care for children in need.
Our scholarship program opens the door to education for children who cannot afford it. Every contribution helps a child continue their studies and build a brighter future.
Your generosity today can transform a child’s tomorrow. A single donation can provide safety, support, and hope for a child in crisis.
Upward Bound Ministries of Haiti is a Christian faith based Ministry with Board members throughout the United states and Canada. In Haiti the Ministry is supported by teachers, school staff, Pastors, and after a lot of hard work, the community of Bois Pin Haiti.
Haiti is under siege from organized crime. The community around the Upward Bound Ministy is fighting back. Continued support for the community is essential to navigate the uncertain future of the Children that have worked hard to better themselves and Haiti.

Upward Bound Ministries presence in Bois Pin promoted community development with quality education and food availability for the children, consistent salaries for the school staff, fair wages for construction needs with local labor, spiritual outreach with building of a Church and Bible classes, medical screening and mass distribution of antiparasite medication, and through a lot of hard work, community pride.
Haiti is a challenging environment, and security is essential. A protective wall will help safeguard classrooms, playground equipment, books, computers, solar panels, and water supplies. Most successful schools in Haiti require high walls and overnight security for safety and sustainability.
We currently have almost no playground equipment due to limited funding and concerns about theft. We hope to create a safe, joyful play area and clear land for a soccer field — which will help keep children active and protected from potential school abuse.
As we add 10th grade and higher levels, we need additional classrooms and specialized teachers. Haiti’s 7th–12th grade curriculum requires subject-specific instruction, making teacher salaries and classroom construction essential for continuing our students’ education.
A Word From Our Founder
Just a few months before the Haïti Earthquake of January 12, 2010, I felt the urge to go to Haïti. After 29 years in the U.S., I had been kept out of Haïti by my own fear of the unknown, due in part to stories from the media about kidnapping, political instability, etc. However, this time there was no fear; I felt that God was calling me to go to Haïti and do what I could to help my people, even if it was just one person. Months later, through a series of miraculous events, I was able to go to Haïti, and after some discussions with my husband, we were able to purchase a piece of land in Lascahobas, Centre Haïti.
Several months after that, through divine intervention, we received a call to serve as directors of a ministry which included orphanage, school, and clinic in Haïti. What we thought would be a long-term assignment turned out to be just for a few weeks. After much prayer, we realized that this was part of God’s plan all along. He wanted to give us that push and get us to Haïti. Now that we were there, our vague and sporadic vision of starting an orphanage, school, clinic/lifestyle center, and church started to feel attainable. Joined by two of our three children, we decided to move closer to our newly acquired land, lease a small house to live in, and begin the orphanage right there in the same house. Our eldest child was at that time studying medicine at Loma Linda University in Southern California, USA.
As of today with the support of our partners and sponsors; we have built a two-story Mission House, a School to educate the children in the community free of charge, and two (2) Churches. We are still aiming to have a Clinic/Lifestyle Center to meet the various needs of the community… This we will accomplish by the grace and provision of God through His people, the extension of His hands. We request and appreciate your prayers and your generosity towards these projects. May each one, who becomes a part of this ministry through prayer, donations of any kind, receive many blessings from God.
